How Can I Love Rainy Days Again

How Can I Ever Love Rainy Days Again

I am awaken with the soft familiar sound of rain kissing the morning earth as it crashes against the ground, the morning rain drops greeting me as I look at the outside world,  tracing your smile on the cold window

And there it all begins; memories,  feelings gushing my being and every raindrop that falls from heaven makes my spirit feel like hell.  Every raindrop falling reminds me of a time with you

My soul was born on a rainy day. I held your hand and ran outside with you and made you part of my rainy days. I took the umbrella from you “do not be afraid” I whispered.  The rain pours down your face like a river streaming down a waterfall. In that that moment I plunged into this waterfall kissing you.  A kiss to this day still overwhelms my heart, a kiss to this day I do trace on my lips.

And we had no shelter from the clouds above our heads,  except ourselves.  We had no way out from the mud slides and quick sands except ourselves

And you left me in a slow moment as I can still recall the exact time you said the words goodbye

walking away the rain shadowing you as you vanish away in the distance
And I stood underneath this cloud, turning sour as each rain drop feels like acid peeling my skin
Searching for you,  but you left with your umbrella

-Leaving me in my rainy days
